Personnel
Support and oversee church staff, including resolution of staff related issues, conduct performance evaluations, and recommend staff changes. Develop and maintain job descriptions for staff. Approve vacations, absences and educational leaves and coordinate with other ministry teams affected. Make recommendations to Session regarding compensation, benefits and policy issues. Manage nursery staff.
Facilities
Protect, secure, repair, and maintain facilities, equipment, furnishings and grounds. Monitor insurance coverage and make recommendations to Session to keep adequate coverage in force. Procure services and supplies required for upkeep and provide necessary supervision. Keep Session informed of potential major expenses to be included in the budget.
Finance
This team provides oversight of the fiscal health of NCPC, preparing the budget and monitors operating and capital expenses. The finance team follows direction of the Session, providing reports to Session and the congregation. Financial resources and obligations are managed by this team applying sound bookkeeping procedures. Schedule and report audit results to Session. Manage endowments.
Memorials
This team coordinates with the donors contributing resources in memorial, receives applications for use of funds, and makes recommendations for action to Session for approval.
Tech
Maintain equipment and provide training and support to users for computers, copiers, printers, phones, voice mail, internet, cable service, sanctuary equipment, and electronic/audio/video equipment. Develop and maintain a website in collaboration with the Communications Team. Evaluate and recommend technology to enhance effectiveness of church programs.
Communications
Communicate, communicate, communicate! Gather and disseminate information to support church and ministry team activities via all appropriate forms of media such as announcements, website, newspaper, bulletin, newsletter, digital displays, signs, mailings, phone calling and other creative methods to inform and promote, discerning what is appropriate for the congregation and the public. Maintain directories. Work closely with the pastor, administrative assistant and all ministry teams to keep all well informed.
